Paper to Cloud: How Coutts & Syers Simplified Signing with FuseSign
Coutts & Syers quickly recognised a growing challenge: how would clients sign and return documents quickly without relying on printers and scanners?
The firm had been on a modernising journey for a number of years. At this time, Hayden and his business partner Mike made a deliberate decision to reduce paper in the office and invest in smarter systems. They engaged Amy Holdsworth from Clarity Street to support the transformation, but progress soon stalled.
While being on Xero Practice Manager meant their workflows were cloud-based and service delivery remained uninterrupted, document signing quickly became messy.
It soon became clear that obtaining signed financial statements would be a bottleneck. Many clients didn’t have scanners at home, and phone photos weren’t a reliable solution.
"We were still able to look after our clients, but when we had to start sending things out from home, we were scanning them, attaching JPG files and all sorts of documents. The emails were starting to get messy."
