Send, track, and file signed documents from Active Documents with FuseSign

Security-and-privacy-graphic

Accounting firms using Active Documents can now send files directly to FuseSign for signature, track their progress and have completed files returned to the original client location.

Recipient information carries across from the client record, reducing the need to re-enter details when preparing the signing request. Once signing is complete, the signed document is automatically filed back into Active Documents.

The result is a more direct workflow from document management to signature and back again.

Send documents without downloading and re-uploading

Previously, moving a document from document management into a separate signing platform could involve downloading the file, uploading it again, and re-entering client information.

With the Active Documents and FuseSign integration, firms can send files for signature directly from within Active Documents.

Recipient details carry across from the client record, helping staff prepare the request without duplicating information already held in Active Documents.

As Sarin Kanhirapuzha, Head of Product Management at Active | Business Fitness, explains:

"Our clients are accounting firms running compliance work at volume, and they are always looking for efficiency. Anything that adds a manual step gets noticed. We built Active Documents with that in mind, and now, with the FuseSign integration, sending documents for signature is part of the workflow rather than a detour out of it."

Track signing and automatically file completed documents

Sending the document is only one part of the workflow. Firms also need to monitor its progress and ensure the completed version is stored in the right place.

Once a document has been sent through FuseSign, staff can track the envelope status from draft through to signed within Active Documents.

When signing is complete, the signed document is automatically returned and filed back to its original client location. Staff do not need to download the completed file from FuseSign and manually upload it into the correct folder.

Part of a growing FuseSign integration ecosystem

Digital signing rarely operates in isolation. Documents are usually created, managed and stored in other systems, which is why integrations are an important part of how FuseSign supports accounting firms.

The FuseSign integration ecosystem connects signing with the document management and workflow platforms firms already use. The aim is to remove the manual handovers that occur when documents need to be downloaded, uploaded, re-entered or refiled between systems.

The Active Documents integration is the latest example. It connects document management and signing across the full workflow, from selecting the document and preparing the request through to tracking its status and filing the completed version back against the client.

“Accounting firms increasingly expect their software to work together. Integrations are central to FuseSign because they connect digital signing with the systems firms already rely on every day. We’re pleased to welcome Active Documents to our growing integration ecosystem.”
